The Laurieton United Servicemens Club, Junior Eagles, were in great form on the weekend with wins in the 11’s, 12’s and 13’s, placing these sides in strong positions in the top 5 of their age groups. The under 11’s coached Shane Kelly side was very impressive with a 54 to nil win over Taree Panthers Black. The skill levels of the boys were of the highest standard for their age group and if they carry that type of performance into the bigger matches they will be hard to beat. The under 12’s came away with a tough 26-22 win and moved ahead of Taree Panthers on the ladder into 3rd place. The 13’s secured their No1 status with a win over Wingham, but the boys will be looking at playing the whole game out as they gave the Wingham side a bit of a look in at one stage. Good wins to our mini’s with under 9’s coming away with two wins on the day. Under 6’s and under 8’s also had good wins showing the depth in the club. The next round is Saturday July 19, with nine home games on the day and some top games at that.
