Blake is a tennis champ

Country Tennis Champion: Blake Hudson of Kendall is pictured with Tennis NSW Community Tennis Officer Ken Wray.Blake Hudson of Kendall Tennis Club spent the first week of his school holidays competing at the Medibank NSW Junior Country Tennis Championships in Wollongong.

Over 200 juniors from across NSW participated in the event from July 6 to 11 for a chance to be crowned 2008 Medibank Country Junior Champions.

Playing 19 matches in five days Blake played his way into three Finals winning the 10 years Boys’ Singles.

He also won the 10 Mixed Doubles with Zoe Martin of Gunnedah and was a finalist in the 10 Boys Doubles with Jack Masman of Baradine.

Blake would like to thank is coach Bob Hough and his grandfather Roger McCosker for their time and patience in getting him to this level.

Bob has been coaching Blake since he was four-years-old.

Blake would like to thank Medibank for supplying wonderful trophies and prizes for the event and to Leisure Link and HEAD for supplying him with new racquets and clothing for the event.
